13th October 2017                   Issue 6

Message from the Principal

We have had a great week in school, this week. I am sure the children have come home to tell you all about Times Tables Rock Stars, if they haven’t, please have a look! We have been so impressed with the number of children practising at home to improve their times tables scores. Watch this space for a Dearne competition, we are currently acing it and I have every confidence!  Our younger children have been impressing me with their learning this week and I have seen some superb counting and imaginative building in EYFS.

Last week we saw an amazing increase in our attendance, well done and thank you for your support with improving our attendance. Let’s reach the target of at least 96% this year, I know we can do it!

Leopards class visited the Thurnscoe History Group this week, we received some amazing comments about our children’s enthusiasm, behaviour and attitudes. Well done Leopards class, a credit to Gooseacre! J

Please remember children are not allowed on the trim trails or playground equipment before or after school.

Have a lovely weekend.

Mrs K Godfrey
